Don Wick’s General Election Results, HERE TONIGHT!

by SkagitRadio.com on Tuesday, November 5, 2019

SKAGIT COUNTY, WA – A 40th District Washington State Senator will be elected, contested races for Mayor in Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, Mount Vernon and Hamilton, numerous city council and school board positions, a statewide initiative, a state referendum, multiple statewide advisory votes and many other issues will be decided in this year’s general election, which will wrap-up at 8 p.m. TONIGHT, and if you who would like the results as soon as they are available, we invite you to listen to our live webcast from the Skagit County Courthouse, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Well known and respected throughout the Pacific Northwest, broadcast veteran and retired E.D.A.S.C. Executive Director DON WICK will be interviewing candidates and other area officials prior to the first release of vote totals by the Elections Department of the Skagit County Auditors Office, which has historically been done by about 8:15 p.m., though a delay in the Primary Election caused a delay until about 8:30 p.m.

With the Mount Vernon based AM radio stations dismantling their news departments more than a decade ago in favor of their “disc jockeys” reading news to listeners directly from the Mount Vernon newspaper a day or two later, SkagitRadio.com is again pleased to be the exclusive source for live election returns on election night, a tradition that we started 12 years ago and will continue to provide for our advertisers and listeners.

With every webcast on SkagitRadio.com presented as a public service by owner Jim Hjelt’s SKAGIT ROOFING, our webcast will start at 7:30 p.m. with the Peoples Bank Countdown to Polls Closing, including the aformentioned previews of the contested races and interviews with area candidates and elected officials in attendance.

Along with SKAGIT ROOFING, our webcast will also be brought to you by these other GREAT businesses and individuals, including (alphabetically); Anacortes Marathon Petroleum Refinery, VOTE BILL WALLACE for Burlington-Edison School Board, Burlington’s Les Schwab Tire Center, Country Meadow Village Retirement Community, Ekrem Hardware, Jerry Smith Chevrolet and Kia, Jim Stransky at Remax Territory, JNR Paving, Vote Joe DeGloria for Mayor, City of Burlington, Joe’s Towing, La Conner Hair Design, Pacific Rim Fire, PEOPLES BANK, Port of Skagit Commissioner Steve Omdal, Scott Richards Insurance, Skagit’s Own Fish Market, Stowe’s Shoes and Clothing, The Swinomish Tribe, and Wallace and Associates Insurance.

Along with Don Wick’s election results,  insightful interviews, colorful commentary and professional presentation, veteran broadcaster John Fasso will host our coverage.
