TACOMA -  Tye Jamison rushed for three touchdowns and Eddy Williams crashed into the endzone for two more scores as the Lummi Blackhawks (9-3) demolished the previously undefeated Neah Bay Red Devils (11-1) in an 8-Man semifinal game Friday afternoon in the Tacoma Dome.

Lummi earned a berth in the W.I.A.A. Gridiron Classic state championship game next weekend against the winner of the Cusick / Tri-Cities Prep game, which will be played in Kennewick Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Blackhawks flew to three first quarter scores, with touchdown runs from Jamison, Eddy Williams, and Kyle Finkbonner.

The Blackhawks and Red Devils exchanged scores in the second stanza, with Lummi finding the end zone on a 4-yard shovel pass to Deion Hoskins (an 8th-grader from Lummi) and a 16-yard touchdown reception by the Blackhawks’ Eric Robinson to give Lummi a 35-20 halftime lead.

Fireworks were lit off by the Blackhawks’ second-half effort. Williams sprinted around right end out of the Wildcat Formation from 40 yards out within 30 seconds of the kick-off.  Jamison bashed in from one yard out at the tail-end of the third quarter, before scoring from two yards away on a quarterback keeper.

Eric Robinson fielded a Neah Bay kickoff (following a spectacular 51-yard Neah Bay touchdown pass that was tipped by a Lummi defensive back before landing in the hands of Drexler Doherty on the fly) and scrambled down the right hash marks behind impressive blocking for a touchdown, and added a 50-yard kick return touchdown for game’s final score.
